MOTIVASI KERJA PEGAWAI DI BADAN PENGEMBANGAN SUMBER DAYA MANUSIA PROVINSI SUMATERA BARAT

Abstract


This research is motivated by a problem found in the Work Motivation of Employees in the Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDM) of West Sumatra Province. This study aims to explore information about the Work Motivation of Employees in the Agency for Human Resources Development in West Sumatra Province, seen from the indicators: 1) Responsibility, 2) Perseverance, 3) Objectives, 4) Engagement.

               The study population was employees of BPSDM West Sumatra Province, amounting to 57 people. 42 samples were taken using stratified proportional random sampling technique. Data collection instrument was a Likert scale model questionnaire with five answer choices that had been tested for validity and reliability using SPSS version 21. Data analysis using the mean formula (average).

               The results found that employee motivation in aspects: 1) Responsibility gets an average score of 3.30 which shows fairly high results, 2) Perseverance with an average score of 3.21 which is already in the high enough category, 3) Objectives with an average score of 3.27 which is already in the high enough category, 4) engagement with an average score of 3.17 is in the quite high category. Overall it is quite high with an average score of 3.24.
