Abstract


The purpose of this article is to find out and describe how students' perceptions of the maintenance of educational facilities and infrastructure in SMK Negeri 5 Padang, which are seen in aspects of: (1) ongoing / routine maintenance, (2) periodic maintenance, (3) incidental maintenance, and (4) maintenance preventive. The population in this study were 602 students of grade 2 vocational school in Padang. Sampling using the Slovin formula with Simple Random Sampling techniques so that a sample of 86 students was obtained. Data collection tool in this study is a Likert scale model questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis techniques using the average formula. The results showed that: 1) Continuous / routine maintenance of educational facilities and infrastructure at SMK Negeri 5 Padang has been well implemented at an average score of 3.63. 2) Periodic maintenance of educational facilities and infrastructure in SMK Negeri 5 Padang has been implemented quite well on an average score of 3.26. 3) The maintenance of incidental educational facilities and infrastructure at SMK Negeri 5 Padang has been implemented quite well on an average score of 3.41. 4) Preventive maintenance of educational facilities and infrastructure at SMK Negeri 5 Padang has been well implemented in the average score category of 4.07. Thus it can be concluded that the maintenance of educational facilities and infrastructure at SMK Negeri 5 Padang has been carried out quite well on an overall average of 3.59.
