Abstract


This study are motivated by the observations which show that the work productivity of employees is high, but there needs to be an increase in order to be able to achieve very high employee productivity. This research is a correlational study that looks at the relationship between office layout space and employee productivity. The sample in this study amounted to 51 people using Slovin formula and taken by proportional stratified random sampling technique. Data were analysed using product momen correlation formula. The results of data analysis show : 1) employee productivity is in the high category, 88,71%, 2) office layout is in a fairly good category, 74, 13%, and 3) there is a significant relationship between office layout and work productivity of employees at the Dinas Pendidikan Kota Padang. From the reserach of the data above, it can be conclude that there is a meaningful relationship between office layout and employee productivity at the Dinas Pendidikan Kota Padang. Meaning that office layout is one of the factors that influence employee work productivity at the Dinas Pendidikan Kota Padang.
