Abstract


This research is motivated by the writer's observation that there are still employees who have a low work commitment in the Department of Youth and Sports of West Sumatra Province. The formulation of the problem in this study is how high the work commitment of the employees of the Department of Youth and Sports of West Sumatra Province. This type of research is descriptive in nature with a population of 67 employees in the Department of Youth and Sports of West Sumatra Province. This research is a sample research. The sampling technique itself uses Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling technique so that the respondents numbered 48 people. Based on the results of the study showed that the work commitments of employees of the Regional Employment Agency of West Sumatra Province in carrying out their duties viewed from the aspect of responsibility were in the high category with an average score of 3.98. For the aspect of loyalty is in the high category with an average score of 3.73. The involvement aspect is in the high category with an average score of 3.67. Furthermore the attachment aspect is in the high category with an average score of 3.70.
