The Relationship Between Family Support and the Performance of Elderly Posyandu Cadres in Nagari Cingkariang, Banuhampu District, Agam Regency

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low performance of elderly posyandu cadres, this is thought to be due to low family support. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between family support and the performance of elderly posyandu cadres in Banuhampu District, Agam Regency. This study uses a quantitative approach with a correlational type. The population of this study was all active elderly posyandu cadres in 2024, totaling 38 people, samples were taken using the area random sampling technique of 75%. So, the total sample size was 30 people. The data collection technique used a questionnaire and the tool was a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used was percentage and product moment. The findings of this study were (1) family support for elderly posyandu cadres was categorized as low, (2) the performance of elderly posyandu cadres was categorized as low (3) there was a significant relationship between family support and the performance of elderly posyandu cadres in Nagari Cingkariang, Banuhampu District, Agam Regency. The suggestion in this study is that families are expected to provide full support to cadres to carry out elderly posyandu activities.
