The Relationship between Learning Strategies and the Effectiveness of Futsal Extracurricular Learning at MTsN 9 Padang Pariaman

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low effectiveness of Futsal Extracurricular learning at MTsN 9 Padang Pariaman. One of the factors suspected to be the cause is an inappropriate learning strategy. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of the effectiveness of futsal extracurricular learning at MTsN 9 Padang Pariaman, a description of the futsal extracurricular learning strategy at MTsN 9 Padang Pariaman, and the relationship between learning strategies and the effectiveness of futsal extracurricular learning at MTsN 9 Padang. This study uses a quantitative approach with a correlational type that aims to examine the correlation between learning strategy variables and learning effectiveness variables. The population of this study was 90 futsal extracurricular students. The sample was 47 futsal extracurricular students with the Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling technique. The data collection technique was in the form of a questionnaire and the data collection tool was in the form of a questionnaire. The data analysis technique uses the percentage and correlation formula (product moment). The results of this study indicate that: (1) The description of the Futsal Extracurricular learning strategy at MTsN 9 Padang Pariaman is categorized as less appropriate; (2) The description of the effectiveness of Futsal Extracurricular learning at MTsN 9 Padang Pariaman is categorized as low; (3) There is a significant relationship between learning strategies and the effectiveness of Futsal Extracurricular learning at MTsN 9 Padang Pariaman.
