Analysis of Preservation of Library Materials in the Riau University Library

Abstract

This research is entitled Analysis of Preservation of Library Materials in the Riau University Library. This research aims to analyze the preservation of library materials in the Riau University Library. The research method used is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews and documentation. The informants in this research were 2 people, namely the Head of Collection Development and the Preservation Librarian. The results of the observation, interview and analysis process in the research Analysis of Preservation of Library Materials at the Riau University Library have made various efforts to preserve the collection of library materials in order to maintain the quality and continuity of information. These efforts include several aspects, namely regular maintenance, disaster response plans, information transfer, cooperative actions and the use of technology
