Manajemen Arsip Vital di Perguruan Tinggi: Studi Kasus pada UPT Kearsipan Universitas Negeri Semarang

Abstract

This research highlights the importance of managing vital records in organizations such as universities. Various researchers have discussed vital records management as in purpose of this study, which focuses more on vital records management at UPT Kearsipan Universitas Negeri Semarang. The lifeblood of any organization and the basis for decision making are archives and information. Poor records management not only hinders organizational development and accountability, but also causes ineffectiveness and inefficiency in service delivery. Organizational success depends on effective vital records management practices that ensure the right records are available at the right time for effective operations. As an essential component of all organizational activities, the need for proper records retention cannot be denied. With policies in place to guide records management, organizational accountability and transparency can be achieved.
