Author Guidelines

The editor of Lingua Didaktika: Jurnal Bahasa dan Pembelajaran Bahasa welcomes article in language, linguistics, literature, and their learning. The submissions should be in accordance with the following guidelines: 

  1. Articles have not been published or accepted for any publication, or are being considered for publication elsewhere. In addition to the manuscript, a written statement should be attached which clarifies that the article is original and does not contain any elements of plagiarism.
  2. Types of articles suitable for publication include the following; research reports (laboratory, field, archives), conceptual ideas, studies, theory applications. 
  3. Articles are written in Indonesian, Malay, or English (preferable) using academic language along with standard academic writing structure and composition. Manuscripts are typed 1 spaced in a quarto paper size (A4), between 4500-6000 words in length (excluding references, pictures, and tables).
  4. Article should be in form of essay which includes:
    • title (maximum 15 words) in English and Indonesia
    • Author’s name should not be written on the article but it should be put on the article metadata on Open Journal Sy
    • stem (OJS) website (If author’s name is still on the article, the article would be rejected and author may submit on a new submission). Author must fill out author’s profile on OJS website that consists of author First, Middle and Last Name (If author only uses one name, fill the first name and last name with the same name), Gender, Initial, Username, Password, Affiliation (University/or Institution), E-mail, Mailing Address (complete address of affiliation: street name, city, province and zip code), Country and Bio Statement (Department or Faculty).
    • Abstract is written in English and Indonesian (150-200 words for each) which includes research problems, methods and results,
    • key words in English and Indonesian (3-5 words),
    • introduction (without subsection) which includes background, objectives, and literature reviews/ theoretical construct (if needed) of the research. The introduction section  ends with an emphasis on items to be discussed,
    • research methods
    • discussion,
    • conclusion, and
    • references.
  5. Reference list format is based on APA (American Psychological Association) style by using Mendeley Reference Management. Reference list should appear at the end of the article and includes only literatures actually cited in the manuscripts. References are ordered alphabetically and chronologically. When writing a reference list, please use the following conventions;
    • Amir, M.S. (2010). Adat Minangkabau: Pola dan tujuan hidup orang Minang. Padang: PT Mutiara Sumber Widya. 
    • Wardhaugh, R. (1986). An introduction to sociolinguistics. New York: Basil Blackwell.
  6. The editor appreciates if authors excerpt information from previously published articles in Lingua Didaktika.
  7. To submit an article, please register. Fill the password by yourself. Then click 'user home' and click 'new submission' at the end of author.
  8. Articles should be submitted online in soft files using Microsoft Word application (97-2003). 
  9. Authors will be sent notifications of the receipt of manuscripts and editorial decisions (whether the articles are accepted or not) by e-mail. Manuscripts that are not published will not be returned to the authors.

Panduan Bagi Penulis

  1. Lingua Didaktika menerima tulisan (artikel) ilmiah yang berkaitan dengan bidang bahasa, linguistik, sastra, dan pembelajarannya. Artikel boleh ditulis dalam bahasa Inggris atau bahasa Indonesia. Namun abstrak, 50 – 200 kata diikuti 3 – 5 kata kunci, harus ditulis dalam bahasa Inggris dan bahasa Indonesia.
  2. Naskah belum pernah diterbitkan dalam media lain. Apabila naskah tersebut pernah disajikan dalam seminar, lokakarya, atau forum ilmiah lain, mohon diberikan keterangan dalam bentuk catatan kaki pada halaman pertama tulisan.
  3. Naskah diketik pada template yang telah disediakan dan disimpan dalam format word 97-2003.
  4. Daftar Pustaka  ditulis secara alfabeltis menggunakan format APA, penggunaan Mendeley Application lebih diutamakan.

5. Format Tulisan:

Judul Artikel (Jelas dan ringkas, tidak lebih dari 13 kata) ditulis dalam bahasa Inggris dan bahasa Indonesia.

Nama Penulis (tanpa gelar akademis)

Instansi asal penulis

Abstract (dalam bahasa Inggris dan bahasa Indonesia)

A. Pendahuluan (memuat latar belakang, masalah/topik bahasa, tujuan, dan tinjauan teori terkait  dengan sub judul serta luas serta luas tinjauan disesuaikan)

B. Metode Penelitian (jika artikel berupa laporan penelitian)

C. Penyajian Data dan Pembahasan (subjudul dan penyajian data disesuaikan)

D. Simpulan dan Saran

E. Daftar Pustaka


Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word (97-2003), RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed. Please just write author1, author2, ... and affiliation... The information will be requested as your manuscript is accepted.

This journal charges the following author fees.

Article Submission: 0.00 (IDR)
Authors are required to pay an Article Submission Fee as part of the submission process to contribute to review costs.

Article Publication: 250000.00 (IDR)
If this paper is accepted for publication, you will be asked to pay an Article Publication Fee to cover publications costs.

If you do not have funds to pay such fees, you will have an opportunity to waive each fee. We do not want fees to prevent the publication of worthy work.
