Abstract

This research aims to determine the differences in learning outcomes of students practice using learning strategies Training Within Industry (TWI) and conventional learning on subjects storey building lighting installation (IPBB) class XI student of SMK N 1 TITL Batipuh . This research is a quasi -experiment . The subjects were students of class XI of the Electricity Technical skills program TITL SMK 1 Batipuh the number of 42 students , which is a class XI TITL I control and XI TITL II is a class experiment . Grading is done at random from an existing class . Collecting data in this study using the instrument in the form of performance assessment criteria ( rubrics ) were assessed from the stage of preparatory work , the process , work , work attitude , work reports , and practical implementation time . Before the assessment is used , then the validation of this assessment . Validity in this study using content validity is to draw up aspects that will be assessed in subjects in class XI IPBB TITL appropriate curriculum and sought expert opinion weights . Data were analyzed using t-test . The results of this study indicate that the learning outcomes experimental class higher than the control class . Therefore it can be concluded that there are significant differences between learning to use learning strategies within industry training compared with conventional learning on learning outcomes IPBB .
