The Relationship Between the Learning Environment and Learning Burnout Among Members of the Annisa Women Farmers Group (KWT) in Nagari Aripan, X Koto Singkarak District, Solok Regency
Abstract
Nonformal education plays an important role in improving the knowledge, skills, and independence of communities, especially women, through community-based learning groups such as Women Farmers Groups (Kelompok Wanita Tani/KWT). One form of nonformal education implemented in society is the learning activity conducted by KWT, which serves as a medium for empowerment and capacity building of its members. However, in practice, the level of learning burnout among members of the Annisa Women Farmers Group (KWT) in Nagari Aripan remains relatively high. This condition is presumed to be influenced by a less conducive learning atmosphere, monotonous learning methods, limited variation in learning media, and the lack of active interaction between instructors and members during the learning process. Therefore, the problem examined in this study is whether there is a relationship between the learning atmosphere and the learning burnout experienced by members of the Annisa Women Farmers Group (KWT) in Nagari Aripan, X Koto Singkarak District, Solok Regency. This study employed a quantitative approach with a correlational research design. The population consisted of all 25 members of the Annisa Women Farmers Group (KWT) in Nagari Aripan, while the sample comprised 23 members selected using an area random sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires in the form of statement lists, and the data analysis techniques included percentage analysis to describe each variable and the Rank Order (Spearman) formula to test the relationship between the learning atmosphere and learning burnout. The findings of the study reveal that the learning atmosphere in the Annisa KWT activities, based on indicators of physical environmental conditions, psychological conditions, and social conditions, is categorized as less conducive. In addition, the level of learning burnout among members is categorized as high, as reflected in boredom during learning activities, learning fatigue, and decreased learning interest. Furthermore, the results of data analysis indicate that there is a significant and negative relationship between the learning atmosphere and learning burnout among members of the Annisa Women Farmers Group (KWT) in Nagari Aripan, X Koto Singkarak District, Solok Regency, meaning that the less conducive the learning atmosphere is, the higher the level of learning burnout experienced by the members.
