Abstract
This research is motivated by the number of children who are unemployed due to dropping out, where these children need skills in obtaining job opportunities and business opportunities. The aim is to improve community skills through training activities so that they can increase knowledge, increase family income, get job opportunities, and improve the welfare of the community, especially children who have dropped out of school. The purpose of this study is to see a description of the level of discipline of learning residents, to see a description of the completeness of facilities, comfort, adequacy, security and cleanliness at PKBM Locomotive, to describe the cooperation of partners and forms of cooperation, to see the management in every program provided by the government, and to see description of the institution in facilitating training activities in PKBM Locomotive. This research is a research using a qualitative approach, with the research method is a case study. Sources of data in this study were learning residents who took part in fashion training in providing job opportunities for school dropouts at PKBM Locomotive as research subjects and the head of the Institute as research informants. Data collection techniques used in this study are observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique used is data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The data validity technique is by using source triangulation. The results of the study show that: 1) the skills training process starts from planning, implementation, mentoring and evaluation; 2) forms of fashion training in the form of student discipline, completeness of facilities, adequacy, comfort, security, partner cooperation and forms of cooperation, training management, as well as institutions in facilitating training.
