Abstract


Abstract: This article attempts to describe the effective ways of developing students' english structure mastery through EGI tecnique based on CLT of the third year students of IPA 2 SMU 4 Padang. the research was conducted in two cycles with three-week meetings. with the teaching-learning process designed in the integrated technique with the students experienced-based activities, the finding shows that grammar of the students refering to discovery learning increased as well as the raise of the response to stimulus given. with the various techniques and leading question, students motivation and self-confidence rised gradually. in addition, integrated excersices in the four language skills with various functional and situational practice is very effective
