Abstract
Indonesia is currently experiencing the Covid-19 pandemic, in the field of education learning is carried out online so that the teaching and learning process is not optimal compared to the offline learning process so that electronic teaching materials (emodules) are needed that can help students learn. The development of e-modules that will be made must be adapted to the learning needs of schools that are adapted to the demands of the 2013 curriculum and use an approach, one of the approaches used is a SETS-based approach (Science, Environment, Technology, Society), which is also called mutual friendly. The development of this e-module aims to produce a SETS-based e-module that is valid, practical and effective in improving students' critical thinking skills. Product validity analysis was carried out based on a questionnaire that had been filled out by expert lecturers. While the analysis of practicality is based on a questionnaire response of students and educators. Questionnaire of the practicality of the responses of educators and students. Validation analysis was tested using the Aiken's V equation with an average value of 0.85 with a valid category. While the practical analysis based on student and educator response questionnaires obtained an average of 88.34 for the teacher's answers in the very practical category and student responses obtained an average of 86.09 for the very practical category. On the results of the effectiveness for knowledge competence obtained an increase of 0.74 in the high category
