Abstract

The achievement of creative thinking skills of grade  students were not optimal. One of the reasons was that the modules were still in print and have not included a learning approach and have not empowered students creative thinking. This study aimed to produce a physics e-module based on SETS (science, environment, technology and society) to improve the creative thinking skills of Grade  students those are valid, practical and effective. This type of research was development research using the ADDIE model with five stages, namely the analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation stages. The research instrument included preliminary study questionnaire, validity questionnaire, practicality questionnaire, and written test. Data analysis techniques for validity used the Aiken's V formula, for effectiveness using the N-gain formula, and for practicality assessment using a descriptive percentage. Based on the data analysis that has been done, it could be concluded that there are three research results. First, the SETS-based physics e-module (Science, Environment, Technology, and Society) to improve the creative thinking skills of class X high school students were valid with a value of 0.83.
