Abstract

This study aims to determine differences in student learning outcomes using active learning strategies of Hollywood Squares with conventional learning on the subjects of Electrical Measurements at SMK N 5 Padang. Types include quasi experimental research, the research subjects of class X students of SMK Negeri 5 TITL Padang of the school year 2013/2014. Class XL3 class of 30 people as experiments and XL2 amounted to 31 people as a control class. The results showed that the learning outcomes of students using active learning strategies Hollywood Squares has an average value of 78.8 and student learning outcomes using conventional learning has average-value of 74.1. There is a difference in student learning outcomes using active learning strategies of Hollywood Squares with conventional learning on the subjects of Electrical Measurements at SMK Negeri 5 Padang. Hollywood Squares active learning is better than conventional learning.
