PENERAPAN PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE JIGSAW DALAM MENINGKATAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA PADA PELAJARAN PEKERJAAN MEKANIK DAN KESELAMATAN KERJA KELAS X SMK NEGERI 5 PADANG

Abstract


This research background based on the student’s grades that did not reach KKM. The One of the factor that influence the student’s grades is learning methods. To enhance the grades of students result use learning methods, this research was conducted by using cooperative learning model Jigsaw. Jigsaw Learning Method is a model of of learning in which students share information at the same time with different partners briefly and regularly. The purpose of this research is to see the improvement of the student’s learning out comes using a method Jigsaw on subject “Pekerjaan Mekanik Dan Keselamatan Kerja” in class X SMK Negeri 5 Padang. This research is Quasi Experimental with one group design pretest-posttest .This research’s object is students of class X SMK 5 padang that are registered in 2013/2014, they are consisted of 31 students. The data is obetained in this research using learning out comes (post-test) that is in multiple choice form (25 questions). The data is analyzed using Gain Score. Based on results of research found that a average value the pre-test before using the method of Jigsaw is 54,8 and average value of the post-test after using the method of Jigsaw is 77, Gain Score is calculations improve the student’s learning out comes that is in medium average category. To conclude the use of cooperative Jigsaw learning model can improve learning out comes in class X SMK 5 Padang on subject “Pekerjaan Mekanik Dan Keselamatan Kerja”.
