Abstract



This study aims to determine the effect of cooperative learning type Number Head Together (NHT) on social studies learning outcomes in the grade V of SDN 14 Simpang Ampek Sungai Pua Kabupaten Agam. This research is a type of quantitative research using experimental methods and quasi-experimental research designs. Sampling data is taken by cluster random sampling technique. The sample of this study amounted to 40 people with a population of 122 people. The instruments used in collecting data are objective tests with multiple choice forms. The results of the calculation of the research data used are the t test, obtained obtained t count> t table that is 3.0995> 2.0167 with α = 0.05. Thus there is an effect of the use of Jigsaw cooperative learning model on student learning outcomes in social studies learning in the grade V of SDN 14 Simpang Ampek Sungai Pua Kabupaten Agam.
