PENINGKATAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA PADA PEMBELAJARAN IPS DENGAN MODEL PROBLEM BASED LEARNING DI SEKOLAH DASAR

Abstract

The research aims to find out and describe the improvement of students’ social science learning outcomes by using the problem based learning modelat 4^th grade of SD Semen Padang 1. The design of the reserch was class action research using both qualitative and quantitative approaches.  The subject were the teacher and 4^th grade students  of the school. The research result on each cycle shows some improvements. In term of the lesson plans, the score increased from 73.21% in cycle I to 92.85% cycle II. Meanwhile, in term of the teacher’s aspect, the score increased from 74.99% in cycle I to 92.85% in cycle II. In term of the student’s aspect, the score increased from 73.21% in cycle I to 92.85% in cycle II. Finally, the score of the student’s learning outcomes increased form 77,41 in cycle I to 92.73 in cycle II. Thus, it can be concluded that the problem based learning model successfully improves student’s social science learning outcomes.
