Abstract


This study aims to determine the effect of STAD type cooperative learning  model on student learning outcomes in art learning at SMP N 16 Padang.  This  research is an experimental research using presest-posttes group  design research design. Data collection techniques used are tests and  observations. The result of t test conducted on the experimental class and  control class shows the tcount of 4,970 and the sig (2-tailed) value is 0,000  while the ttable is 2.040. From the value of sig (2-tailed) above the value is  smaller than sig (0,000 <0,05) and t arithmetic is greater than t table (4.970  > 2.040), then H0 is rejected. Based on the above description can be   concluded that the application of STAD type cooperative learning model has  an effect on student learning outcomes in art learning at SMP N 16 Padang
