Abstract


The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of Canva as a teaching medium in the learning of biographical texts in grade X at SMA Negeri 2 Semarang, including its benefits, advantages, and disadvantages. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The subjects of this research are 36 students of class X-2 at SMA Negeri 2 Semarang, while the data consists of behaviors or actions in applying Canva as a teaching medium in Indonesian language lessons on biographical texts. The data collection methods used in this study are observation and documentation. The data analysis method employed is interactive analysis, and the results are presented using an informal method. Based on the data analysis conducted, the results show that the implementation of Canva in teaching biographical texts in grade X at SMA Negeri 2 Semarang has become more efficient, and students are more active and interactive, which encourages engagement between teachers and students. The use of Canva as a teaching medium makes students more enthusiastic and enables the development of digital skills for both teachers and students in today's digital era. The implementation of Canva in this study presents a mini website in the form of a microsite that can be integrated with other platforms, such as Google Classroom, YouTube, and internet websites.
