Abstract

This research aims to analyze the use of social media in increasing library engagement in UP Jakarta Library and PDS HB Jassin. The research was conducted using descriptive qualitative method supported by literature study, observation, and in-depth interviews with librarians. The results showed that the library uses the Instagram platform as a promotional tool with three main types of content: facility information, special activities and programs, educational and interactive content. An analysis of user engagement from July to December 2024 shows that informative content, Night At The Library (NATL), Senandung Aksara, and collaborative content get the highest level of engagement based on the number of likes and comments. This research proves that user engagement is not only limited to conventional library information, but also includes trending and creative content.
