Abstract
This research aims to determine and analyze the factors that influence tourism sector income in West Sumatra cities. This research is descriptive and inductive research. The data used is time series data in West Sumatra from 2012 to 2023 obtained through publications by the West Sumatra Central Statistics Agency. This research uses panel regression analysis to determine the extent to which tourist visits, MSMEs, restaurants and regional income influence tourism sector income in West Sumatra cities. The research results obtained found (1) Partially tourist visits have a positive and significant effect on tourism sector income in West Sumatra Cities, (2) Partially MSMEs have a negative and insignificant effect on tourism sector income in West Sumatra Cities, ( 3) Partially restaurants have a positive and significant effect on tourism sector income in West Sumatra Cities, (4) Partially regional income has a positive and insignificant effect on tourism sector income in West Sumatra Cities.
