Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh kepemimpinan instruksional kepala sekolah terhadap kinerja guru SMP Se-Kota Padang. Permasalahan yang sering terjadi di lingkungan pendidikan masih rendahnya kinerja guru. Adapun prediktor yang mempengaruhi kinerja guru yaitu kepemimpinan instruksional kepala sekolah. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengidentifikasi pengaruh kepemimpinan instruksional kepala sekolah terhadap kinerja guru. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi dan sampel penelitian ini yaitu guru SMP di Kota Padang yang Berjumlah 135 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu instrumen kepemimpinan instruksional kepala sekolah dan instrumen kinerja guru. Penelitian dilakukan secara langsung terhadap guru di SMP. Analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial. Hasil temuan menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan instruksional kepala sekolah berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja guru. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa untuk meningkatkan kinerja guru dapat dilakukan dengan menerapkan kepemimpinan instruksional yang baik sehingga memiliki pengaruh yang cukup relevan dalam peningkatan kinerja guru.
