PERBAIKAN FAKTOR DAYA MENGGUNAKAN SWITCH MODE BOOST CONVERTER PADA MASUKAN RECTIFIER
Abstract
This paper presents a comparative evaluation of five topologies of single-phase AC-DC boost converters having power factor correction (PFC). These converter topologies are evaluated on the basis of performance and their salient features are discussed to analyze their applicability. Boost converter able to increase the voltage output but it also can improve the power factor of the source. This paper is regarding power factor correction ini AC-DC converters results in PWM( pulse witdh modulation ). When nonlinear elements are present in circuit they produce harmonic distortions in input current waveform which results in lower power factor and increase the losses in power quality. The result of the study show that non load rectifier pf of 0,59. Rectifier used boost converter non load pf of 0,62. Rectifier is used loaded pf of 0,60 and load rectifier used boost conver pf of 0,64.
