RANCANG BANGUN KONVERTER AC AC SATU FASA DENGAN TEKNIK PWM MENGGUNAKAN MIKROKONTROLER ATMEGA 8535

Abstract


This research background based on the importance of power control in electric energy  conversion process to control electrical appliances. The variable frequency and voltage is used in many industrial application, while the frequency produced from PLN source is constant. Therefore, this research is designed in a single phase  AC AC converter using a microcontroller to produce the variable frequency and voltage. Microcontroller of ATMega 8535 is used as a PWM signal control and the PWM signal will be processed in the microcontroller of ATMega 8535 by adjusting the frequency from the push button. The design of this equipment began with by designing a block diagram that consist of a minimum of ATMega 8535 system circuit, two sets of optocoupler circuits, power supply circuit and AC AC converter circuit which is a major component in this equipment. AC AC converter has been tested to produced the variable frequency and voltage by adjusting the frequency from the push button. The final test on this research is using R load and RL load. The output frequency is produced from 10Hz to 50Hz with the increasing 10Hz. If the final test is without load, the average voltage is about 166V. Testing AC AC converters using ballast 10W with variable frequency, the average output voltage is about  43.6 V. Testing using R load (5W lamp) with variable frequency, the average output voltage is 82.2 V.
