PEMANTAUAN DAN PENGATURAN LEVEL ZAT CAIR PADA TANGKI PENAMPUNGAN DENGAN MEMANFAATKAN GELOMBANG ULTRASONIK

Abstract


Industry really need  a  good control system in order to support and improve the efficiency of the process production. For  example, like the process of charging and disposal of liquid in the holding tank. Problems arise when the level of liquid in the tank height is unknown, so the possible event of an overflow tank or empty due to lack of supervision on the holding tank. Solutions to overcome these conditions one of that  is  use of ultrasonic sensors to determine the liquid level in the tank. The use of ultrasonic sensors to monitor and adjust the liquid level is certainly necessary supporting components, such as a microcontroller ATMega8535, 16 * 2 LCD as a display of sensor readings, and pumps to fill and discharge. Following are the sequences of basic mechanism of instrument; Ping sensor transmits the wave. The waves that are broadcasted by The Ping sensor will be bound as adjoin to the buoy and capture back to the Ping sensor. Then, count the interval of the prior wave was transmitted up to the waves is received back. In this stage, the interval or periode of time will be processed in AT Mega 8535.  Next, the result of AT mega process will be displayed on LCD in form Level of fluid, High of liquid, and Volume of Liquid. Lastly, if level is low, the ATMega8535 will actives completing pump, whereas level is high the disposal pump will be operated.Based on sequences of experiments, can be concluded that to apply these set of tools whose function to conduct the level of fluid are effective enough since the result of measurement of itself show that the errors are only amount 0.4% up to 2.71%.
