Abstract

This paper discusses the meaning of the ritual pilgrimage to the tomb grave Angku Keramat Junjung Sirih Nagari Paninggahan society. The purpose of this study was to describe the activity and the meaning of pilgrimage grave. Data were collected through participant observation methods, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Then analyzed by using the theory of symbolic Victor Turner. The result showed the meaning of the ritual pilgrimage grave Angku Keramat Junjung Sirih is increasing solidarity, strengthen religious values​​.Before the eventslaughterhouses, those involvedhave vowednot feelcalmhis soul. When finishedslaughteringthe victim, feelingthe quiet forcehas beenreleasinghis vow.Phasetransitionbefore and afterslaughteringvotivecalledliminality.
