Abstract


The purpose of this research is to find out the relationship between teacher performance, teaching methods and facilities to student satisfaction in SMK Negeri 1 Bukittinggi which has the status as an International School Pilot program (Rintisan Sekolah Bertaraf International or RSBI). Prior to the research, it was assumed that the student satisfaction in this school was quite low. This is a descriptive-analytical research. The population is all of mechanical engineering students in this school. There are 72 students which were taken as sample stratified random sampling technique.An instrument using Likert scale is used to collect data. Correlation technique is used to measure the relationships between the independent variables toward the dependent variable. Based on this research, it is known that the teachers performance significantly associated with all methods of learning and teaching and learning methods significantly associated with learning facilities with correlation coefficients are 0,534, 0,284, 0,283. Path analysis finds that the coefficient determination (R2) between the three independent variables toward the dependent variaable is 0,583. It means that 58,3% of student satisfaction is contributed by all of the independent variables in this research. Based on the findings is suggested the need to improve the the quality of teacher performance, teaching methods and learning facilities in order to satisfy the student in the learning process.
