PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN BERBAGAI JENIS KNALPOT (MUFFLER) TERHADAP KUALITAS GAS BUANG DAN TINGKAT KEBISINGAN PADA MOBIL TOYOTA AVANZA TYPE 1.3 G MANUAL TAHUN 2012

Abstract

Intisari Muffler adalah suatu komponen sistem pembuangan yang berfungsi untuk mengurangi temperatur, menurunkan tekanan gas pembakaranjuga mengurangi suara dari gas sisa hasil pembakaran engine. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui seberapa besar perbedaan penggunaan berbagai jenis-jenis muffler terhadap kualitas gas buang dan tingkat kebisingan pada mobil toyota avanza.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian quasy eksperiment jenispretest-posttest control group design. Pengambilan data yang dilakukan dengan memakai alat ukur seperti four gas analyzer, thermocople, dan sound level meter.Hasil penelitian untuk lima jenis muffler dan lima putaran engine tersebut, telahdiperoleh rata-rata yang signifikan. Semakin bertambah putaran mesin maka jumlah emisi gas buang CO dan HC akan semakin rendah sdan temperatur aliran gas buang akan semakin tinggi. Sedangkan untuk tingkat kebisingan yang dihasilkan akan semakin tinggi bila putaran mesin menjadi naik.

Abstract Muffler is a component of the exhaust system that serves to reduce the temperature, lowering the pressure of the gas combustion so reduce noise from gas combustion results in the rest of the engine. The purpose of this research is to find out how big a difference the use of various types of exhaust muffler of the quality and the level of noise in the car toyota avanza.This research uses research methods quasy pretest-posttest eksperiment type control group design. Data retrieval is done by wearing a measuring instrument such as four gas analyzer, sound level and thermocouple meters.The results of research for five varieties of muffler and five rounds of such engine, has gained a significant average. Growing round the machine then the amount of exhaust emissions of CO and HC will be more low-temperature exhaust gas flow will be higher. As for the level of noise produced will be higher when the engine is likely to be.
