Abstract


Understanding math|esmatical conscepts is the absility tso understand, apply, and analyze mathematical conceptto various contexts. Student osf grade IX SMP Negeri 5 Payakumbuh in the 2024/2025 academic year asa the research population, with clsass IX.3 being t!he exsper!imental clsa!ss ansd clsass IX.4 being the cosntrol clsass. The research instrument was a mathematical concept understanding test. The data ansalysis techniqsue ussed t-tsest with resal lesvel . The findings of this showed that the , so the null hypothesis was rejected. T!he re!sult o!f the st!udy found that students’ understanding of mathematical concept is better b|y usinsg t||he insq|uiry lesarn|ing modsel thasn t|hse di|rsect lsearn|i|ng m|osd|el.
