The purpose of this study was to obtain information on the social competence of teachers of geography at the Senior High School West Pasaman, namely (1) social geography teacher competence in communicating effectively with students, (2) social geography teacher competence in communicating effectively with others educator/teacher, (3) social geography teacher competence in communicating effectively with parents/guardians, (4) social geography teacher competence in communicating effectively with the public. The data of this study is the social geography teacher competence in communicating with students, educators/teachers, parents/guardians and the community. The data sources of this study were 24 teachers of geography in the Senior High Schools of West Pasaman. Data was collected using questionnaires. The results showed: (1) social geography teacher competence in communicating effectively with students that are in the good category, (2) social geography teacher competence in communicating effectively with fellow educators/teachers are in the good category, (3) social competence of teachers geography in communicating effectively with parents/guardians of students in the category quite well, (4) social geography teacher competence in communicating effectively with the public in the category quite well.
