Abstract
This research aims to describe: form 1), function 2), and meaning
Merangin batik motifs. This type of research is a qualitative
descriptive. The primary data source that are spoken directly by
informants, source data taken in the form of written notes (image,
recording) derived from informants interviewed, documentation and
literature study. Merangin batik motifs deriving from shape of the
flora, fauna and geometric, Merangin batik motifs function consists
of physical function, personal, and social, meanings of Merangin
batik motifs generally describes the long history and rich Merangin
antiquity.
