Abstract

This article discusses the innovative Music Education Stimulate (MES) learning model which was designed based on the Orff method as an effort to increase students' musical creativity. The MES learning model was developed through learning stages that are tailored to the needs of developing aspects of student creativity at the elementary school level. In this model, the main indicators used include translation, exploration, literacy, and improvisation. Meanwhile, aspects of creativity such as fluency, uniqueness, originality, elaboration and sensitivity are used as references in preparing the assessment rubric. This research uses a Research and Development (RnD) approach with a focus on the definition, design and development stages, although only up to the validation stage. The research results show that the development of this learning model produces a valid and practical approach. The MES model has the potential to be implemented in music learning, so that it can have a positive impact, especially in increasing student creativity
