ABSTRACT

This study aims to describe the implementation of Culture Arts learning (Simple Ensemble Music) at seven grade students of Senior High School 1 Painan. This research was a descriptive study through a qualitative approach that describes all findings in the field. Techniques of data collection used were library research, observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study indicate that in Culture Arts learning (Simple Ensemble Music) at seven grade students of Senior High School 1 Painan is very well. It can be seen from the making of learning devices, syllabus and lesson plan designed and created by the culture arts teachers and the level of students' skills. From this, it can be seen that in learning culture arts (simple ensembles music) on competency standards that refer to the curriculum for appreciating and expressing, cultural arts teachers are able to provide material to students based on the material determined and the time allocation that has been previously designed. The second is that students are able to take lessons from beginning to end and apply well-adjusted / self-adjustments that can be seen from how students are able to create a new musical arrangement.
