Abstract


The Indonesian scout movement is a non-formal education organization that runs scouting education in Indonesia. The main task of the Indonesian Scout Movement is to carry out scouting education for the younger generation to become a better generation, responsible, able to foster and fill independence, and build a better world. Currently, scouting activities are mandatory extracurricular activities in schools. Scouting education requires the role of scoutmaster so that the goals of the Indonesian Scout Movement can be achieved. To achieve the goals of the Indonesian Scout Movement, scoutmaster is needed who are committed to carrying out their duties as scoutmaster. This study aims to see how the achievement motivation of scoutmaster affects their commitment of scoutmaster. This research is a quantitative study that uses an achievement motivation scale with a reliability of 0.968 and a commitment scale with a reliability of 0.958. The subjects in this study were selected using a purposive sampling technique with a total of 224 active scout coaches in X City. The hypothesis in this study used regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that the commitment of scoutmaster is influenced by achievement motivation
