Abstract

Thesis is one of the obligations that must be completed an undergraduate students (S1) as a condition that must be worked out before obtaining a degree. Problems while working on the thesis, the main difficulty is the thesis supervisor elusive, in the guidance of professors just cross out the mistake and did not explain to the students about the error. So that students feel anxious, appetite is reduced, complained of frequent headaches, anxiety and sleeplessness as much thought thesis. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of communication between the student and the thesis supervisor with stress in a student writing his thesis on S 1 Nursing STIKes Minang 2015.This type of research is analytic with cross sectional study design. The population in this study were all students of grade IV Prodi S-1 Nursing STIKes Minang Padang totaling 80 samples. The sampling technique in total population. Data were collected using a questionnaire on 4 to 14 September 2015. The univariate analysis is shown in the form of a frequency distribution table and bivariate analysis shown by the results of the chi square test.. The result showed 80 people as much as 45% of communication between students is not good. As many as 65% of students experienced stress in his thesis. There is a significant relationship between the communication between the student and the thesis supervisor with the stress in his thesis at S 1 Nursing student.It was concluded communication students and lecturers stress affects students in the thesis. Expected supervisor can divide their time in serving the students in the process of thesis guidance.
