HUBUNGAN ANTARA SELF-EFFICACY DENGAN PENYESUAIAN AKADEMIK DAN PRESTASI AKADEMIK ( Studi Pada Mahasiswa FIP Universitas Negeri Surabaya )
Abstract
This research is conducted to study by empiric related between self-efficacy with academic adjustment and achievement of academic student in campus.
The Population for this Research is Student of FIP University Country of Surabaya which enlist in the year teaching 2000 - 2003. Sample Research determined by sampling random, election of sample relied on technique of Cluster Sampling, so that in this research is specified by 130 respondents. Data collecting conducted by using questioner. Hypothesis to be tested with statistical technique of regression in phases that is " Path-Analysis".
Result process statistic and examination of hypothesis find the following fact:
1. There is positive and significant correlation of causal between self-efficacy and academic adjustment at student in FIP UNESA with coefficient correlation value R = 0,600 meaning Self-Efficacy ( X1) correlate adjustment of academic ( X2).
2. There is positive and significant correlation of causal between Academic Adjustment and Academic of Achievement student in FIP UNESA with coefficient correlation value R= 0,506 meaning Self-Efficacy ( X1) correlate Academic of Achievement ( X2).
3. There is positive and significant correlation of causal between Self-Efficacy and Academic of Achievement student in FIP UNESA with coefficient correlation value R= 0,472 meaning Self-Efficacy ( X1) correlate Academic of Achievement ( X2). Result of band analysis indicate that Self-Efficacy have an correlate on direct to achievement of academic with coefficient determinant value (R2)= 0,222, while level of indirect is correlate (R2)= 0,154. Its meaning Academic of Achievement is caused by self-efficacy directly, from is caused by self-efficacy through process Academic Adjustment.
Pursuant to result of this research, can be concluded that self-efficacy have significant correlation of causal with academic adjustment and academic of achievement of student on science faculty education of Country University of Surabaya.
