ANALISIS MAKNA DAN FUNGSI PANTUN DALAM KESENIAN TUNDANG MAYANG SANGGAR PUSAKA

Abstract

Abstract This research conducted by a willing to analyze more about meaning and function of traditional poetry in Tundang Mayang's art which is an update form of traditional poetry. This research specialize to clarify meaning and function of traditional poetry in Tundang Mayang's art and to implemented the traditional poetry in a school. The purpose of this research is to describe meaning and function of traditional poety in Tundang Mayang's art and the plan to apply this in a school. The research design in this research is qualitative with descibtive method. The data resources in this research is traditional poetry by Eddy Ibrahim that have 29 traditional poetries of six video performance in TVRI Kalbar with the different theme. The technic of collecting data in this research is using a documentary technic which is already apply in the six video performance of Tundang Mayang's art in TVRI Kalbar. Based on the analysis from six themes of traditional poetry can be conclude there are four kind meaning of traditional poetry, there are the meaning of happy, nervous, disappointed and advice. And beside that, there are five function of traditional poetry, which are didactic, estetic, morality, recreatice and religion. Beside that, the learning of this traditional poetry can be implemented to the XI SMA students with KD 4.1 to interpret the meaning of traditional poetry text, by using oral or written.
