Potensi Ekstrak Buah Bintaro (Cerberra manghas) Sebagai Biopestisida Terhadap Mortalitas Keong Mas (Pomacea canaliculata)

Abstract — Bintaro fruit (Cerberra manghas) is a non-food plant that contains toxic secondary metabolites so that it can be used as a biopesticide. The research method is an experimental method with variations in the concentration of bintaro fruit extract of 5%, 10%, 20%, 40%, 80%, negative control (aquades) and positive control (synthetic pesticide) which are contacted with golden snails by soaking for 3 days. Test the effect of bintaro fruit extract on rice plants using the spraying method on rice leaves. The purpose of the study was to determine the potential of bintaro fruit extract, its effectiveness on golden snail mortality, and its effect on rice plants. The results showed that bintaro fruit extract has the potential as a biopesticide against golden snail mortality with an effective concentration of 40% which resulted in a mortality of 86.6%. Bintaro fruit extract did not cause damage to rice plants. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that bintaro fruit extract has the potential as a biopesticide against golden apple snail mortality with an effective concentration of 40% and is safe for rice plants.
