Abstract


The purpose of this study is to enhance the graphic design skills of students with mild intellectual disabilities using the Canva application at SLBN 1 Lubuk Sikaping. The research employed an experimental method with a Single Subject Research (SSR) design type A-B. The subject of this study was one student with a mild intellectual disability. Data were collected through performance tests and analyzed visually within and between conditions. The study was conducted in eight sessions, consisting of three sessions in the baseline phase (A) the percentage of result obtained were 33%, 33%, 33%. Meanwhile five sessions in the intervention phase (B) the percentage of result 67%, 78%, 89%, 89%, 89%. The results showed an increase in graphic design skills from an average of 33% during the baseline phase to 89% during the intervention phase. Therefore, the utilization of the Canva application proves to be effective in improving the graphic design skills of students with mild intellectual disabilities.
