Abstract


This study aims to test the effectiveness of web-based interactive learning media Solar System Scope, in improving the understanding of solar system concepts in science learning for children with physical disabilities in class VII SLB Luak Nan Bungsu Payakumbuh. These student often have difficulty with abstract science concepts due to limited access to appropriate learning media. This study used the Single Subject Research (SSR) method with an A-B-A design, by observing one participant for 12 sessions: 3 sessions at baseline/A1, 6 sessions at the intervention/B, and 3 sessions at baseline/A2. The results showed a significant increase in understanding, with an increase in performance from 30% at A1 to 90% at A2. The Solar System Scope media was proven effective through its 3D visualization and interactive features, which are in line with the multisensory and individual learning approach. These findings support the use of web-based educational tools as a viable strategy to address the learning challenges faced by student with physical disabilities, especially in science subjects.
