Abstract


ABSTRACTThis research aims to improve the ability to recognize number symbols through the Concrete Representational Abstract approach in class V mild mental retardation children at SLB Negeri 1 Padang. The results of the research, conducted over 16 sessions, indicate that the baseline phase (A1) conducted in four sessions yielded the following percentage results: 30%, 30%, 30%, 30%. During the intervention phase (B), conducted in eight sessions, the child's ability showed improvement with the following percentage results: 40%, 40%, 45%, 50%, 60%, 80%, 80%, 80%. Finally, during the second baseline phase (A2), conducted in four sessions, the percentage results were as follows: 75%, 80%, 80%, 80%. Based on the data analysis, it is concluded that the ability to recognize number symbols from 6 to 10 can be enhanced using the Concrete Representational Abstract approach. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mengenal lambang bilangan melalui pendekatan Concrete Representational Abstract pada anak tunagrahita ringan kelas V di SLB Negeri 1 Padang. Pada fase intervensi (B) dilakukan sebanyak 8 kali pertemuan dan kemampuan anak menunjukkan peningkatan yang terlihat pada hasil presentase yang diperoleh yaitu 40%, 40%, 45%, 50%, 60%, 80%, 80%, 80%. Dan pada fase baseline (A2) dilakukan sebanyak 4 kali pertemuan tanpa pemberian intervensi dan hasil presentase yang diperoleh yaitu 75%, 80%, 80%, 80%. Berdasarkan analisis data yang telah dilakukan diperoleh bahwa kemampuan mengenal lambang bilangan 6 sampai 10 dapat ditingkatkan dengan menggunakan pendekatan Concrete Representational Abstract.
