Abstract

The increasing integration of technology in education has opened up opportunities to use digital tools, such as vlogs, as learning media. This research aims to investigate students' perceptions at SMAN 1 Kecamatan Payakumbuh towards using vlogs in their English learning. Using a survey research design classified as a quantitative approach, a sample of 32 grade XII students was selected through random sampling. A questionnaire based on four aspects (attractiveness, effectiveness, relevance, and motivation) was administered to assess students' perceptions. Descriptive statistical analysis in SPSS 25 was used to analyze the data. The results show that students had strongly positive perceptions of vlogs, with a total mean score of 3.37. It can be concluded that vlogs are an effective medium for increasing students' engagement, motivation, and confidence in learning English.
