Abstract

This study investigates the perception of SMAN 1 Padang Ganting students regarding the use of Quizizz toward their test anxiety. It also aims to explore how these perceptions differ based on the components of test anxiety. Employing a descriptive quantitative approach, the research was utilizing a cluster sampling technique which consists of 35 students from eleventh F1 grade of 2023/2024 Academic Year at SMAN 1 Padang Ganting as the sample. Questionnaire and interview were selected as the instruments for this study in collecting the data. The data through questionnaire comprising 20 closed-ended statements rated on a 4-point Likert Scale. The findings indicated positive perceptions across 4 aspects; worry, cognitive interference, tension, and bodily reaction, with an overall mean score of 3.17. Therefore, the data showed that the use of Quizizz platform as a test medium holds significant potential in creating students’ confidence, minimize students’ anxious, worry, nervous, and physiological upset in facing the test/exam. Likewise, as an online test medium, Quizizz successfully capture students’ concentrate and interest by given a fun atmosphere for them.
