FrancoMédia: Pengembangan Media Pembelajaran Français des Médias berbasis Google Sites
Abstract
Français des Médias is a French language learning program that involves the analysis of French-language media such as newspapers and advertisements. This learning approach not only enhances language skills (reading, writing, listening, and speaking) but also broadens learners' understanding of cultural and social contexts. One of the challenges faced in this learning process is the limited availability of learning resources and the suboptimal use of digital technology. This study aims to develop FrancoMédia, a Google Sites-based platform that integrates authentic French media content with interactive exercises and multimedia elements to promote contextual and independent learning tailored to the CEFR level B1. The research employs a design and development approach based on the Richey & Klein (2014) model, encompassing three phases: planning, production, and evaluation. The planning phase involves a needs analysis, followed by material production and integration, while the evaluation phase includes assessments by two experts and feedback from 17 students of the French Language Education program at UPI using closed questionnaires. Results indicate that the site was rated 100% feasible by content experts and 82.14% feasible in terms of media aspects. Student perceptions showed a 91% approval rating, indicating that this learning media is ready for use and offers a positive contribution. Future developments should expand FrancoMédia to include CEFR levels A2 and B2, incorporating adaptive AI-based feedback and quiz gamification to meet diverse learner needs.
