Illocutionary and Perlocutionary Act Analysis on Main Character in Disney Movie Tittle "Encanto"

Abstract
This research analyzed the type of Illocutionary and perlocutionary act on Main character in Disney Movie tittle “Encanto”. The study using Searle (1979) theory in Illocutionary acts type and Austin (1975) on perlocutionary act analysis. Data was collected from “Encanto” movie script and categorized based on the type of Illocutionary or perlocutionary acts. This study using desriptives qualitatives. The findings reveal that in Illocutionary act representative is the most commonly used in this research with (33.34%). And for the least common type of Illocutionary act with (6,70%). For the Perlocutionary act this study also found 4 out of 5 type. Convincing type was the common used with (40%) and Inspiring was the one type that doesn’t have found. This research also highlights the illocutionary and perlucutionary acts in movie to better understandable and get for the certain purpose of every’s speaker intention or utterences.
