POTENSI PENGEMBANGAN AIR TERJUN TUJUH TINGKAT DI KOTA PADANG PANJANG

ABSTRACT

Tourism object of Air Terjun Tujuh Tingkat is a new want to development in Kota Padang Panjang, its have economic potential, it must be based on the principles of ecotourism development of ecotuourism, in order to provide sustainable benefit. The aims of the research to analyze elements of tourism management and the role of government, to formulate tourism development strategy of Air Terjun Tujuh Tingkat, Kampung manggis, Kota Padang Panjang on November 2015. This research approach is qualitative. Data analysis technique was descriptive qualitative. Data were collected from observation, interviews, anddocumentation. Respondent in this survey was selected through purposive sampling. Result of the survey shows there are two acsess to get Air Terjun Tujuh Tingkat, and just with footpath mileage 45 minute. This location is compatible for tourist adventurous souls. Community surrounding waterfall absolutely depens on the plants surrounding their environment, and therefore there are opportunities to promotes conservation based on society.
