PENGARUH MIND MAP TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KREATIF SISWA DALAM PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA DI KELAS VIII SMP NEGERI 8 PADANG

Abstract


ABSTRACT

This study aims to determine whether the mind map affects ability of creative thinking and student learning outcomes in mathematics learning in class VIII SMP Negeri 8 Padang. This study was a pre-experimental with the one shot case study design. Sample was determined by purposive sampling technique. The subjects of this research were students in class VIII.E of SMP Negeri 8 Padang. The research subjects were given treatment to making a mind map on the learning process. The data of this research obtained in the form of value the ability to make a mind map, the value of ability to think creatively, and mathematics learning outcomes. The data were analyzed by regression analysis. The results show that there is an influence of the ability of create a mind map toward the ability to think creatively with regression relationship y = 11.7 +5.01x, and determination R2 = 25.9%. This means, 25.9% of the total variation in the ability to think creatively explained with this model. Furthermore, there is the influence of the ability of create a mind map toward mathematics learning outcomes with regression relationship y = -32 +1.31x and determination R2 = 56.68%. This means, 56.68% of the total variation in learning outcomes described with these models.
