PENGARUH RUTIN TERHADAP KONSUMSI, PERTUMBUHAN DAN MUTU KOKON Bombyx Mori L

Abstract

Research of influence of rutin consumption to growth and cocoon’s quality accurated in Kinnikon’s silk room Tabek Patah Batusangkar was done on Juni until August 1998. The result show that increasing rutin solution of food (Morus cathayana) larvae instar IV to instar V Bombyx mori in concentrate 50 ppm, 100 ppm, and 200 ppm could rise increase of body weight than control. Increasing food consumption and larvae weight, influent to Relative Consumption Rate (RCR) and Relative Growth Rate (RGR) directly. Increased food consumption and RCR mean that food can be changed become biomass. Its caused of feeding stimulant, rutin characteristic value. Than, influence of rutin solution to effciency of Conversion of Digested Food  (ECD) not visible, but Efficiency of Conversation of De gested Food (ECI) in concentrate 50 ppm, 100 ppm and 200 ppm just show that increase, Approximate Digestibility (AD) value. Increasing AD value compensated with decrease ECD value and so the other way, that ECI value quit constant. Also,increase rutin solution in concentrate 50 ppm, 100 ppm and 200 ppm influential to fiber’s leght and cocoon’s ra tio, weight and strength of fibers but there’s no effect to fibers thickness result.
